This is a family of small insectivorous birds that are found mainly in Eurasia with some ranging to Africa.. Most live in forests of scrubby areas and frequently catch their food on the wing. They were formerly placed in the "Old World Warbler" family Sylvidae.

Leaf warblers are small insectivorous birds belonging mainly to the genus Phylloscopus. They are active, constantly moving, often flicking their wings as they glean the foliage for insects along the branches of trees and bushes. They forage at various levels within forests, from the top canopy to the understorey. Most of the species are markedly territorial both in their summer and winter quarters.

The Arctic Warbler is grayish-green above and off-white below. It has a heavy, dagger-like bill, with a dark tip to the lower mandible. It has a single wing bar. The Japanese Leaf Warbler and Kamchatka Leaf Warbler are also considered subspecies of the Arctic Warbler.
Similar to Greenish Warbler. The Arctic Warbler is larger than the Greenish Warbler and also has heavier bill. The Greenish Warbler does not have a dark tip to the lower mandible.

The Willow Warlber is greenish brown above and off-white to yellowish below; the wings are plain greenish-brown with no wingbars.

Found: China, Indian subcontinent, southeast Asia
All species have green wings and yellow bellies, most have yellow breasts as well. The head is either gray, green or buff/brown, and all species have stripes on the crown or face as well as a yellow or white eye-ring
